Necesita sanar, restaurar y nutrir.

OmChi no es solo un té. OmChi es un sanador.

The story behind OMCHI

Plants first

I am Ina. The founder of OMCHI.
I’ve always been obsessed with health and wellbeing. Supplements, protocols, natural remedies. I’ve tried almost everything at some point.
But no matter how advanced wellness becomes, I still believe the most powerful solutions begin with plants. Supplements are useful. But sometimes the simplest question is the most obvious one.

Why not receive the benefits of plants in something as natural and daily as a cup of tea?

That question kept returning because tea had always been part of my life.

The tea I remember

I grew up in Bulgaria, where herbs were not products on a shelf. People gathered them from the mountains.
Dried them at home. Kept them for winter. Brewed them when the body needed something simple, soothing, real. I still do this today. Every summer, I go back to the mountains. I gather herbs. I dry them. I drink them through the year.

But my earliest memory of tea goes even further back. In kindergarten, mountain herb tea was served from a large pot into simple metal cups. As a child, you don’t think about health and wellness. You remember the smell - warm, aromatic, comforting. The kind of smell that makes a room feel calm and safe.

I have been looking for that tea ever since.

Tea, the London way

Years later I lived in London, where tea is simply part of everyday life. It is the drink people reach for without thinking. Black tea with milk. Several times a day. But sometimes tea becomes something else.

Some of my favorite rituals were drinking green or jasmine tea at places like The Lanesborough, The Connaught, or The Dorchester. There tea is treated with care. Loose leaves. Beautiful strainers. Proper brewing. Sometimes even a small timer to control the strength of the infusion.

The same simple plant suddenly feels refined. Those moments stayed with me. Because they showed how special tea can be when it is respected.

The problem with modern tea

Outside the high end places the experience changes quickly. In most cafés you are handed a paper tea bag that barely tastes like anything. Supermarket herbal teas are often filled with flavorings and coloring that have very little to do with the plant itself. The industry sells tea for scale. Not for quality.

Cheap tea bags dominate the shelves. Real herbs don’t fit that model. Small producers are pushed toward loose tea. Not by choice. By cost. But loose tea was always better.
It just didn’t fit the way we live today. So people settled.

Between mass production and luxury ritual, the pleasure and benefits of a good, real tea got lost.

That frustrated me.

Why OMCHI exists

I kept thinking about the mountain herbs I grew up with. The honesty of those flavors. The feeling they gave me. And the question became obvious.

Why should real tea only exist in luxury hotels or mountain villages?

Why not make it an accessible part of everyday life again?

OMCHI was created to answer that question. Not by reinventing tea. By respecting it.

Real herbs. Thoughtful blends. No flavorings. No artificial shortcuts. No luxury gatekeeping. Just plants. Used properly.

Daily rituals that support the body the way nature always intended.

Because sometimes the simplest things are the most powerful.

real. raw. pure. OMCHI.

Respect for the plant

Most of our herbs come from Europe. Mainly Bulgaria. Hand-picked from the fields. Processed as little as possible. For what doesn’t grow there, like green tea, we work only with trusted producers who respect the plant as much as we do.
Sourced with care. Made with respect.
